Prayers for all Occasions, Needs, and Intentions
Take My Mother Home You
who, call me Jesus, believe in me, accept me as your savior, confess my
infinite greatness, hope in me and love me, take my mother home. You
who are children and need tender, loving care and want someone to cheer
you, to bind up your wounds, lessen your hurts and hold you close, take my
mother home. You
who suffer and carry a heavy cross, whose heart is broken, whose cup of
bitterness is filled to overflowing, who bear gaping wounds in your brain,
in your limbs, in your body and soul caused by sorrow's sword honed to
sharpness seven times, take my mother home. You
who have given up hope, who can find no reason to live, who have already
committed mental suicide, take my mother home. You who are sin-stained, guilt-ridden, straying, looking for a healer, take my mother home. You
who would be chaste, poor and obedient as I was, take my mother home. You who sail the sea of life, surrounded by so many dangers, looking to a star to guide and give you direction, a beacon to light your way and bring you safely to port, take my mother home. You
who are noted for hospitality, who invite the poor, the blind, the
crippled and the lame to share their riches to make yourselves rich, who
see that black is beautiful as well as white, yellow, red and brown, take
my mother home. You lands of sunrise and sunset, east and west, north and south, looking for a most beautiful first lady, a masterpiece of earth and heaven 's perfection, a woman of the sun and infinitely more beautiful, take my mother home. Fr. Clement Pavlick C.P.
