Prayers for all Occasions, Needs, and Intentions HOW TO HAVE A RIGHT CHRISTMAS Sometimes it is hard to have a right Christmas. You
are so busy trying to make a merry Christmas that when it is all over you
know you missed out on something. I hope that this year you will have a
Right Christmas. A
Right Christmas is first of all focused on a person. Christmas marks the
time in history when God entered our world to save us by sending his only
son Jesus. He won salvation for us by coming to earth, living a perfect
life, and dying on the cross to take our punishment for sin. He rose from
the grave and is in heaven today. Jesus
made the first Christmas and today He can make your Christmas a Right
Christmas. Some
tips from the Bible on how you can have a Right Christmas. The
Right Way: John 14:6 Jesus
answered: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to
the Father but by me." The
Right Spirit: John 14:27 Jesus
said: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the
world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it
be fearful." The
Right Greeting: Luke 2:10,11 Behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For
unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ,
the Lord. The Right Gift: John 3:16 For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. The
Right Invitation to Accept: Matthew 11:28 "Come
unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest." The
Right Celebration: Revelation 5:12 Worthy
is the Lamb (Jesus) that was slain to receive power, and riches, and
wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. The
Right Response: Acts 16:31 Believe
in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. The
Right Prayer: "Lord
Jesus, I repent of my sins. I believe that you died to pay for them and
rose from the dead. I promise to make you Lord of my life. Please make
this a right Christmas and come into my heart. Amen"
