Lord Jesus, through your resurrection you broke open the gates of the dead and destroyed sin and death; through your victory, we pray: R. Hear us, Lord of glory. Lord Jesus, through your resurrection you annihilated the power of death, gave us new life and renewed all creation; through your victory, we pray: R. Hear us, Lord of glory. Lord Jesus, through your resurrection you confounded your guards and executioners, and filled your disciples with joy; through your victory, we pray: R. Hear us, Lord of glory. Lord Jesus, through your resurrection you announced joy to the women and the apostles, and brought freedom to the whole world; through your victory, we pray: R. Hear us, Lord of glory. Lord Jesus, through your resurrection you sent forth your disciples to teach all nations and to baptize them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit; through your victory, we pray: R. Hear us, Lord of glory.

Let us pray Heavenly Father and God of mercy, we no longer look for Jesus among the dead, for he is alive and has become the Lord of life. From the waters of death you raise us with him and renew your gift of life within us. Increase in our minds and hearts the risen life we share with Christ and help us to grow as your people towards the fullness of eternal life with you. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. |
