UPDATE 4/14/13: BABY ISLA IS GOING HOME TODAY!

PLEASE KEEP THIS CHILD AND FAMILY IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS...The Power of Prayer is AWESOME!!! As always, from the  bottom of my heart THANK YOU! Don't ever doubt the power of prayer and above all, don't forget to THANK Almighty God, Jesus and the Blessed Virgin for their intercession in this family's need as well as the many ways they help EACH of us.

"Precious Lord, please accept our prayer of thanks for Isla, one of your little ones."

My 6 year old Godchild Becca, has requested prayers for her teacher Amber, and new baby Isla.  Isla was born a few days ago and weighed slightly less than 2 pounds.  PLEASE KEEP THIS CHILD, MOTHER AND FAMILY IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS.

"Lord Jesus, you love each of us individually with a unique and personal love. Touch this family with your healing power and restore them to fullness of life."

One of my closest friends, George, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. Please include George and his family in your daily prayers. I have included the link to St. Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer. The Prayers to St. Peregrine

UPDATE 12/12/12: Ricky is now off life support, moved to a rehab center where he will hopefully continue improving...THANK YOU TO ALL! Please continue to include Ricky and his family in your prayers.

7/25/12: Ricky is currently on life support...His passenger is recovering from her injuries. His life is in the hands of the Lord.

Please add Ricky and the young lady rider that accompanied him on a motorcycle ride; an accident happened in the course of the ride, resulting in life and death injuries to him. His passenger has critical injuries as well. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM! Their lives are now in the hands of the Lord and the medical facility providing care for them. Hopefully both of them will survive this terrible accident. THANK YOU for keeping them in your daily prayers.

O Heavenly Father, Let ALL Men Realize That War is NOT What You Wish For Us, But PEACE, LOVING, And FORGIVING Hearts. Amen.

The road to success is not straight.

There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success.  Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Home Altar Pictures...Come Pray With Me. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." —Matthew 18:20.  Please join me for daily prayers.

The Chapel now comprises the three walls of one of my rooms; the fourth wall is loaded with computer and electronic equipment I use to provide the Prayerbook religious website; answer the many, many emails; and provide the Home Altar Live Pictures. The walls of the chapel are described below:

The main wall of the Chapel, the Main Altar, is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus with a statue of Jesus extending His hands in peace...Peace Be With You. The Main Altar altar background contains pictures of the Stations of the Cross with the first seven on the left side, the right side the last seven. My two favorite depictions of the Divine Mercy Image are behind the statue of the Sacred Heart. The Gothic Windows are replicas of the stained windows of St. Patrick's Church, where I was baptized, confirmed, made my first communion and served as an altar boy for many years. Several of my favorite chaplet beads can be seen. Crystal vases contain white and red roses, as well as wine and water on a serving tray; provision for hosts is provided in an additional crystal piece. My childhood prayerbook albeit quite "torn and tattered" is also shown. A Padre Pio rosary is adjacent to the prayerbook as is my rosary from the Vatican, blessed by Pope John. Several of my "prized" possessions are the small holy water bottles from Knock, Ireland. Candles on either side of the altar along with floral arrangements at the main altar front, complete the decor.

The second wall of the Chapel, the Rosary Wall, is dedicated to the Rosary, my favorite prayer, with statues of Mary, Our Lady of Grace, on the right side; the statue of Joseph holding the Child Jesus on the left side. The center is adorned with the pictures of the Rosary depicting the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and the new Luminous mysteries. Burgundy roses on green vines encompass the mystery depictions, topped by a small crucifix that had been "thrown away" by someone. A small ceramic statue of Mary with the Infant Jesus adorns the center pedestal flanked by two candles.

The third wall of the Chapel, the Devotion Wall, is dedicated to the Infant of Prague and St. Therese, "The Little Flower." Beautiful statues of each adorn pedestals of honor on each side of a gorgeous golden cross, a gift from my third Son and his two beautiful daughters. A favorite picture of the Infant of Prague and St. Therese "The Little flower," is situated below the center pedestal holding the Cross. Completing the display is a half-circle of variegated green leaves on a vine perfuse with red roses.

INTRODUCTION

This religious site presents material that has been beneficial in my life and the message I, in my poor way, hope to offer to you the visitor is, "all things are possible with prayer."

The use of the word Prayerbook was selected as the title for this religious site and the Internet the vehicle to present the many prayers and devotions contained in the thousands of pages that are a part of this site.    (top)

MESSAGE

TO THE THOUSANDS OF VISITORS NEW AND OLD

My sincere hope and prayer that this religious site will, in some small way, serve as a spiritual tool for those of you who wish to increase their daily prayer life.   (top)

DEDICATION

This religious site is dedicated to my parents, Mattie B. and Geo. M. Haney Sr., for the sacrifices they made to provide my catholic education; my grandparents, Palestine and Jeremiah Quilter, for the gentle guidance and love provided in my formative years; to all the Ursuline Nuns and Christian Brothers who educated me; to my family and friends who provide the encouragement to stay the course; my heartfelt THANK YOU!

To my youngest son, Jerry, who passed from this life to a better place on June 29, 2001. You were an inspiration to your Father particularly, and your family as well. Your loving heart and smiling face will be missed but never forgotten. With heavy hearts and tearful eyes, until we see you again, rest in peace my son, you are completely free to enjoy your family there and to watch over your family here. Love, Dad.

To Jesus, Mary and Joseph who have helped me through all the tragedy that has befallen my family and still provided me a smile, I know the power of prayer first hand, "awesome!"   (top)

Grateful appreciation is extended to Mrs. P. Tijerina for her research help; Mrs. L. Lee for her typing and formatting skills in the preparation of the Holy Mass, Cycles A, B and C; and Mr. J. Craft for his continuing assistance in the presentation of this religious site.
