Prayers for all Occasions, Needs, and Intentions THE STORY OF THE BIBLE Retold for Children of all ages Book 1 Introduction to The Holy Bible | God - Who is God and What is He Like | The Beginning | The Angels | The First Seven Days of Creation | The Garden of Eden The Angels
HERE AND there, all through the Bible, we find statements about the Angels. They are sometimes called the Sons of God, because God made them a little like Himself, in His own image and likeness, They are also called the Morning Stars, because God made them in the morning of His creation, before He made the world. Angels are spirits. They have no bodies, They are neither men nor women, but they sometimes show themselves as young men, when they come to bring us messages from God. Wise men who have studied the Bible tell us that when God made the Angels they were all good. They lived in Heaven, but they could not see God until they passed a test. One of the brightest Angels whom we now call the devil turned against God. Many others followed him. Then a great Angel named Michael took God's part. He led the good Angels in a big battle, until they drove the devil and the other bad spirits out of Heaven. God made a place for the devils to stay in, We call it hell. The good Angels sing beautiful songs. They love God and praise Him all the time. They love us as God's children and their brothers, and they help God take care of us.
The Angels Drive the Bad Spirits From Heaven Where were you when I founded the earth? While the morning stars sang in chorus and all the sons of God shouted for joy.
